Chandigarh: City traffic police started awareness campaign

Chandigarh: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chandigarh Traffic Police has launched a road safety programme, “Sadak Suraksha Bandhan” to promote safety of all brothers and sisters. The initiative aims to achieve zero accidental mortality rate by increasing awareness among people about traffic rules and regulations.
As part of the programme, the police tied special rakhis bearing traffic rules symbols to road users, representing the bond of safety and protection. The awareness programmes were organised at Balmiki Dharamshala, Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26 and Housing Board light points in Mani Majra.
