Chain snatching incident in Pachpedi Naka

Raipur. Till now, in the capital, jewelery was being stolen by burglarizing houses, but now chain snatchers have become active. On the 23rd, they ran away with a gold chain from the neck of an elderly woman traveling in an e-rickshaw.

According to the information received, Amrit Bai Jain (77), who lives near Indira Para Jain Temple, Ward-11 of Bhilai, was going to Bhathagaon bus stand to return home. She had boarded an e rickshaw near Satti temple.

As soon as she reached under the Pachpedi Naka over bridge, an unknown snatcher snatched the chain from the old woman’s neck and ran away.

The woman lodged a report at Raipur Kotwali police station yesterday evening. The price of the chain is said to be Rs 50 thousand.
