CG: Woman teacher duped of Rs 25 lakh, FIR lodged

When the teacher investigated after procrastinating to register, the land turned out to be someone else’s. The young man also lured her into registering another land, but that land also turned out to be someone else’s. On the teacher’s report, the police have registered a case of fraud against the youth. The case is of Kotwali police station area. According to the information, Monica Tirkey, a resident of Ambikapur Police Line, is a teacher at Ameradugu Primary School in Ambikapur. Monica Tirkey was previously posted in Lakhanpur. During this time, she got acquainted with Sandeep Lakra, a resident of Singitana, Lakhanpur. In the year 2022, Sandeep Lakra showed Monica Tirkey a 35-decimal vacant plot near Makhan Bihar as his own. The deal to sell was done for Rs 25 lakh. After the deal was done, Monica Tirkey transferred Rs 25 lakh to Sandeep Lakra’s account from the year 2022 to 25 April 2024. Even after giving the money, when Sandeep Lakra did not register, Monica Tirkey got suspicious. When Monica Tirkey inquired about the land, it was found that the said land was not of Sandeep Lakra, but was registered in the name of someone else. When the teacher asked for legal action, Sandeep Lakra showed her another land and lured her into registering it, but the said land was also found registered in the name of someone else on investigation. Teacher Monica Tirkey complained about this to the Kotwali police. On the complaint, the Kotwali police have registered a crime under section 420 against Sandeep Lakra, resident of Singitana, Lakhanpur. The Kotwali police is investigating the matter.
