CG NEWS: Woman arrested for killing husband with a hammer, body was found near a pond

Janjgir-Champa News. In the district, Divyang Manoj Nat was murdered by his wife Anju Nat. It is being told that the husband used to fight after drinking alcohol every day, due to which Anju Nat got upset and killed him by hitting him with a hammer and slitting his throat with a knife. The incident is from Pamgarh police station area.

In the case, the police said that the wife of the deceased Manoj Kumar was under suspicion, after which the police detained the woman for questioning. The woman cannot speak or hear, so a hearing impaired specialist was called. Hearing impaired specialist Ramayan Kurre questioned the woman in sign language. ​​​​​​​

During this, the wife of the deceased told that on the evening of July 12, Manoj Nat had brought alcohol. He fell asleep after drinking alcohol, but after waking up in the night he started beating his wife. During this his wife took him out. After pushing him down near the pond, she attacked him three times on the head with a hammer. This rendered him unconscious. The woman returned to the house and took a knife and went to the pond where she slit his throat. After this the wife dragged the corpse and threw it at the pond bank. The weapons used in the incident i.e. knife and hammer have been recovered. Hearing impaired expert Ramayan Kurre said that the woman has confessed to the crime.
