CG NEWS: Rs 28.16 crore allocated to urban bodies under octroi compensation head

Raipur raipur news. The Urban Administration and Development Department has allocated a total of Rs 28 crore 16 lakh 25 thousand to 166 urban bodies of the state under the toll compensation head. The department has released Rs 10 crore 12 lakh 50 thousand to 14 municipal corporations of the state, Rs 8 crore 70 lakh to 44 municipalities and Rs 9 crore 33 lakh 75 thousand to 108 Nagar Panchayats. After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Sao, the remaining 50 percent amount of Mayor / Chairman Fund has been released to the urban bodies under the toll compensation head for the financial year 2023-24.

Urban Administration and Development Department The Urban Administration Department has released Mayor / Chairman Fund of Rs 1 crore 12 lakh 50 thousand each to Raipur, Bhilai, Bilaspur and Korba Municipal Corporations under the toll compensation head. Birgaon, Dhamtari, Durg, Risali, Bhilai-Charoda, Rajnandgaon, Jagdalpur, Raigarh, Ambikapur and Chirmiri Municipal Corporations have been allocated Rs 56 lakh 25 thousand each. The department has released Rs 37 lakh 50 thousand each to Bhatapara and Mahasamund Municipal Councils and Rs 26 lakh 25 thousand to Pandaria Municipal Council. The Urban Administration Department has allocated Rs 18 lakh 75 lakh each to the municipalities of Abhanpur, Mana Camp, Kasdol, Simga, Bhatgaon (Saranghad), Rajim, Kurud, Nagri, Basna, Patan, Navagarh (Bemetara), Gandai, Rs 11 lakh 25 thousand each has been allotted to Dongargaon, Keshkal, Bastar, Pakhanjor, Kota, Bodri, Bilha, Gaurela, Pendra, Lormi, Baloda, Kharoud, Dharamjaigarh, Kirodimal Nagar, Pathalgaon, Bagicha, Kunkuri, Ramanujganj, Bhatgaon, Vishrampur and Khongapani Nagar Panchayats under the toll compensation head.
