CG News: Deadly attack on shopkeeper with knife, accused absconding

Korba: A youth has been badly injured in a knife attack in a minor dispute near a liquor shop in Korba district. The youth has been admitted to the District Medical College Hospital for treatment. The case is of CSEB Chowki police station. The police have registered a case and started investigation and are searching for the accused youth. According to the information, Digeshwar, a resident of village Tilkeja, currently lives in a rented house in Mudapar. He is originally from Bhaisma. Digeshwar had gone to the liquor shop located in TP Nagar to buy liquor. Where due to heavy crowd, the accused youth’s leg was pushed while buying liquor.

While arguing about the push in the leg, the accused youth took out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. Digeshwar suffered a chest injury in the knife attack. Digeshwar told that he works in a private company and after working all day, he had gone to the liquor shop located in TP Nagar to buy liquor. After this, the youth kept writhing in pain and the accused fled from the spot. After the incident, the young man kept asking people for help while being taken to the hospital but no one helped him. After a long time, two young men came who took him to the district medical college and treatment began. After this, the incident was reported to the CSEB outpost police, but by then the injured young man had been sent to the district medical college.
