CG: Liquor smuggling under the guise of paracars, 4 smugglers arrested

Police confiscated liquor worth about 3 lakh rupees from the accused. Police took action to send 4 accused caught transporting liquor to jail. According to the information received, on the night of February 7, MCP action was being taken in the highly sensitive area Camp Kothi Tola, when a small elephant pickup vehicle was seen coming from Sitagota, which started running after seeing the ITBP and police force, which was surrounded and caught.
On asking the name and address of the driver and the people sitting in it, they gave their names as driver Dipankar Sahare 21 years and Sandeep Walde 35 years, Sameer Sahare 21 years and Bhushan alias Ram alias Kalu 1 year Dongargarh. When the Bagnadi police checked the pickup vehicle, a total of 357 liters 840 ml of MP-made liquor worth Rs 2,81,080 was found in khaki boxes in the vehicle. The liquor and the pickup vehicle were seized on the spot. A case number 03/2025 under sections 34(2), 36 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and investigation has been taken up.
