CG: Case of transportation of raw materials, products and waste without tarpaulin covering

Raigarh. Under the direction of Collector Kartikeya Goyal, a joint investigation team has been formed to check the compliance of rules by vehicles transporting raw materials, products, waste in the district, through which continuous action is being taken. In this episode, on investigation by the joint team last day, various vehicles were found violating the transport rules, and action was taken on 14 industries, and environmental compensation of Rs 10 lakh 51 thousand 850 has been imposed.
Regional Environment Officer Ankur Sahu said that the district level investigation committee constituted to check the compliance of standard operating procedures regarding proper covering of vehicles transporting raw materials, products, waste, conducted intensive investigation of transport vehicles at various places including Chandrapur, Kodatarai, Hamirpur, Dhimrapur, Tamnar, Gharghoda, Palgarha in Raigarh from 15 to 21 February 2025. The Environment Department Raigarh has taken action against the vehicles transporting raw materials, products, waste by damaged vehicles, 5 cm in trolley. Environmental compensation was imposed for transporting raw material/product/waste without having free board space, not having name of concerned nodal on the vehicle and without proper covering with tarpaulin.
