CG: Businessman’s family had gone to Maha Kumbh, thieves broke into the house

Surguja. Surguja. Thieves have stolen about Rs 3.50 lakh cash and gold and silver jewellery from a businessman’s vacant house on the side of the National Highway in Lakhanpur of Surguja district. The businessman’s family had left for Mahakumbh. Relatives reported the theft in the morning. Police is investigating through dog squad and nearby CCTV footage. Actually, businessman Surendra Agarwal lives near Suman Petroleum on Ambikapur-Bilaspur National Highway-130. His family left from Lakhanpur at around 9 pm on Saturday night to go to Prayagraj for Kumbh bath. On Sunday morning, the lock of Surendra Agarwal’s house was found broken. The lock of the cupboard of the house was found broken. The cash and gold and silver jewellery kept inside it were missing.

On receiving information about the incident, the Lakhanpur police team reached the spot. The police is investigating the footage of CCTV cameras installed around Surendra Agarwal’s house. The dog squad was also called to the spot by the police. The dog squad team has not found any major lead in the investigation. According to the businessman, about 3.50 lakh rupees in cash, more than 12 tola gold jewellery and silver jewellery were kept in the cupboard of the house. The total theft is said to be more than 12 lakh rupees. It is not clear what has been found in the CCTV footage. Surendra Agarwal runs a cash business. The jewellery of the women of the house has been stolen. Lakhanpur police is investigating the matter. After the businessman’s family returns, it will be clear which items and jewellery have been stolen in the incident.
