CG BREAKING: Husband killed his wife and daughter, police caught him before he could commit suicide

Surguja. In Surguja district of Chhattisgarh, a husband killed his wife and daughter with an axe. After this, he was preparing to commit suicide by hanging himself, but the police and villagers broke the roof and caught him. The case is of Kamleshwarpur police station area. According to the information, the deceased have been identified as Sanjai Majhi (32) and Priyanka Majhi (7), residents of Majhapara village of Narmadapur. Police have arrested the accused Sushil Majhi (34) while he was running away after the incident. Actually, on Wednesday morning around 7 o’clock, the accused husband had locked his wife and daughter in the house. During this time he was beating them. At around 11 in the morning, the people around heard the wife and daughter screaming, then suddenly the sound stopped coming from the house. After this, the people around reached Sushil Majhi’s house and knocked on the door, but he did not open the door. When the villagers broke the roof and looked into the room, the blood-soaked bodies of the wife and daughter were lying inside. This frightened the villagers. Immediately called the Dial 112 team.

During this time, the accused Sushil Majhi was preparing to hang himself. The villagers and the police entered the house through the thatched roof, when the accused tried to attack Bhodal Ram with a knife, but failed. As soon as the villagers opened the door from inside, he started running, but the police caught the accused Sushil Majhi. The villagers told that Sushil Majhi used to work as a mechanic in a hotel earlier. Some time ago, he also opened a hotel in front of Narmadapur Janpad Panchayat. Sushil Majhi’s mental condition was not good, but he did not get treatment. In the meantime, he recovered on his own.

The villagers told that Sushil Majhi’s parents have already died. He does not have any brother. He lived in the house with his wife and daughter. Information about the incident has been given to his close relatives. At present, the police is investigating the matter. According to Kamleshwar Police, our team reached the spot as soon as we got information from the villagers. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. The axe has been confiscated from the accused. The accused is also in police custody, where he is being questioned.
