Central government should cancel Agriveer recruitment scheme

Kullu. Many question marks are being raised on the Agriveer recruitment scheme. What impact will this scheme have on the young generation? Regarding this, State President of Ex-Servicemen Department of State Congress Committee, Brigadier TS Thakur has raised his voice against the Central Government in Kullu. While addressing a press conference, he said that the Central Government is attacking the youth with this scheme.

Our youth from almost every second house in Himachal Pradesh dream of joining the army and serving the country. But it is regrettable that these dreams of about 1.5 lakh youth of the country and state have been eclipsed by the BJP government at the Centre.

Under the Agneepath Scheme, the training of a soldier has been halved. Even before an Agniveer becomes a fully trained soldier, 75 percent of the total recruited Agniveers will be made unemployed again by forcefully retiring them and giving them some benefits.

The central government says that they will be given preference in re-employment. This is so ridiculous. He said that the government had come to power with the promise of providing employment to two crore youth every year. All these promises of the government have turned out to be empty, in fact, by retiring 75 percent of the firefighters, there is a possibility of unemployment increasing further. He said that before the Corona epidemic, lakhs of youth paid fees under the old military recruitment scheme, took exams and then passed physical and medical tests.

Out of these lakhs of participants, about 1.5 lakh youth from across the country were declared qualified in all respects. Now his dream of serving the country and getting a permanent job in the army had been fulfilled, but the BJP government has not hastily implemented the Agripath scheme in June 2022. The youth have been greatly hurt by this.

He said that Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi assured that all the ex-servicemen, Youth Congress officials and workers had stood with the youth in the fight for their rights from the Indian National Congress road to Parliament and will continue to stand with the youth even now to get justice. Will go with them till. Brigadier TS Thakur said that now Congress Party, Youth Congress, ex-servicemen will do this movement in Himachal Pradesh also to help these youth. Karna Buddh was also present on this occasion.
