CBSE moves towards more transparent, student-friendly assessment

Madhya Pradesh : In a major move to improve transparency and make the examination system more student-friendly, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised its post-result evaluation process for the 2025 board exams. Under the new process, it has been made mandatory for students to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets before applying for verification of marks or re-evaluation.

Earlier, students could apply for verification of marks directly after the results were declared. Now, they will have to review their evaluated answer sheets first. This allowed them to make an informed decision about whether they should proceed for verification or re-evaluation.

CBSE Examination Controller Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj explained the reason behind the change. He said, “We have revised the order of post-result processes to ensure transparency and reduce unnecessary applications. This change has empowered students to properly review their performance before raising concerns.”
