CBI’s big action, 2 policemen arrested on bribery charges
New Delhi (IANS) | The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Inspector and an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police for demanding bribe from a person. The accused Inspector Narendra Kumar was posted as Special Staff at Rajouri Garden police station while Trilochan Dutt was posted with him as ASI.
The CBI said that a few days ago the police had arrested a person who was gambling in the slum in front of the complainant’s house. Inspector Narendra had also threatened to implicate the complainant in the case. The Inspector asked the complainant to transfer the slum in his name or he would be booked under the Arms Act/MCOCA. By laying a trap, the CBI arrested the ASI of the Special Staff red-handed while accepting bribe from the complainant on behalf of Narendra.
The houses of both the accused have also been raided. Further investigation is on in the matter.
