Case of suicide of railway worker, no action is being taken against the women who harassed him

Korba. Chandan Das, a railway contract worker in the district, being troubled by blackmailing, committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train. It is being told that the contract worker was being harassed by two women. The railway contract worker used to work as a supervisor. The entire matter is of Champa GRP police station area.

According to the information received, on February 9, father and son had reached Korba by bus. After this both of them went to their respective work. After some time, Chandan jumped in front of a goods train on platform number one of the railway station, due to which he died on the spot.

Information about the matter was given to the RPF team. On receiving the information, GRP Champa team reached the spot. The team completed the legal action in the presence of family members. The body has been handed over to the relatives after postmortem. According to the information received from the police, a pen, mobile and purse were found in the pocket of the deceased, which contained some money and documents. If sources are to be believed, there was also a suicide note in these papers, which Chandan had written before his death.

The surprising thing is that 17 days have passed since the suicide, but the investigation process remains the same. The victim’s family has performed the last rites as per social customs. Suicide notes were found during inspection from the incident site. Statement of the victim’s family is being recorded in the case, investigation is going on.
