Case of police negligence under Arogya Bhadratha Scheme

Hyderabad: Amid efforts to provide public access to health and wellness services under the state government’s Arogya Bhadratha scheme, complaints of police negligence have emerged. According to officials, police in some areas have not cooperated with health camps and awareness campaigns under the scheme, impacting the scheme’s impact and reach.

The Arogya Bhadratha scheme aims to provide free health checkups, medical assistance, and health education to people in both rural and urban areas. Under the scheme, health workers are conducting regular camps and educating people on prevention and treatment measures for various diseases.

However, local officials reported that police negligence has led to difficulties in crowd control, security, and traffic management at some camps, posing a threat to the safety of both health workers and attendees.

The Health Department has issued several notices to the police administration regarding this issue, urging for better coordination. Officials stated that without police cooperation, the scheme’s impact may be limited and access to services for people in rural areas may be affected.

The government also stated that cooperation from all departments and the local administration is essential for the Arogya Bhadratha scheme to be successful. Health officials are confident that the active support of the police administration will improve the scheme’s success rate and ensure access to services to a wider audience.

Local residents also expressed that increased police support could make the scheme more effective and improve public health. Experts, meanwhile, emphasize that administrative coordination and cooperation from all departments are essential for the success of any major scheme.
