Case filed against Bigg Boss fame Mehboob for consuming ‘illicit’ liquor

Hyderabad: City police have registered a case against ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 4’ fame Sheikh Mehboob for allegedly organising a party at The Continent Resort in Ankushpur, Ghatkesar and recovered ‘illicit’ liquor. Police, along with officials from the Excise and Prohibition department, conducted the raid and recovered over 11 litres of alcohol, including whisky, vodka and beer. The incident took place during a birthday celebration organised by Mehboob on July 29. Police seized 11.20 litres of hard liquor and 7.50 litres of beer from the resort. The seized items include three bottles of Ballantine whisky, five bottles of vodka, one bottle of Black Label whisky, 11 bottles of Budweiser beer and 19 bottles of Breezer. A case has been registered against Mehboob for organising the party without permission. Resort manager Sudhir Kumar and Subhan Ali have also been booked. Police are investigating from which source the money was used to buy the huge quantity of liquor. The officers questioned Mehboob, who said that his friends had thrown a surprise party for him; he did not know if they had taken permission for it or not. Although Mehboob is yet to react to the controversy, he shared pictures of the party on his Instagram handle and thanked his followers, family and friends for their wishes.
