Career guidance workshop organized in Surana College

Durg. Seth R. C.S. A one-day career guidance workshop was organized by the IQAC and Placement Cell of the College of Arts and Commerce. District Employment and Self-Employment Guidance Center Durg Deputy Director Rajkumar Kurre was present as the main speaker in the workshop.

He provided career guidance to the students and informed them about various career options. He explained in detail about the various competitive examinations mainly for administrative services and told the students about the basic mantras necessary for success like goal setting, preparation for the examination, study of daily newspapers, group discussion, interview etc.

He also said that it is not possible for everyone to be given a government job, hence they can also seek career in self-employment and private institutions and make a better career. Apart from the college students, about 27 other college students also benefited from the guidance in the workshop.

Rajkumar Kurre said that on the instructions of the Collector, a job fair will also be organized for arts and commerce students in the coming months. College Principal Dr. Pooja Malhotra while welcoming the guest asked the students to prepare for competitive examinations along with their regular studies.

The program was organized under the guidance of IQAC Coordinator Dr. Pramod Yadav. The program was conducted by Pawandeep Kaur, in-charge of the placement cell.
