Camps are being organized to provide benefits of schemes to the people of special backward tribes

Raipur. Work is being done on priority under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana to provide benefits to the people of special backward tribal groups in the state. Camps are being organized by identifying the settlements of particular backward tribes. In these camps, all the deprived and eligible beneficiaries of the government’s public welfare schemes are being benefited.

In the camp, government officers and employees are also giving detailed information to the people about the schemes run for the special backward tribe category. In this series, camps were organized in many villages of tribal dominated Korba district like village Chhatasarai, Makhurpani, Patrapali, Garhuproda, Devpahari.

It is noteworthy that the basic objective of PM Janman Yojana is to improve the social and economic conditions of Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), families and settlements by providing basic facilities and services to them. Under PM Janman Yojana, important activities like drinking water, housing, roads, nutrition through Anganwadi, skill development for livelihood promotion will be implemented in the settlements of vulnerable tribal groups in coordination with various departments.

In the camps, the deprived people of special backward tribe category are also being benefited from other schemes including Aadhar Card, Ayushman Card, Ration Card, Jan Dhan Account, KCC, Caste Certificate, Forest Rights Letter, Job Card etc.

Apart from this, their health check-up is done by checking BP, sugar, eyes, blood and necessary consultation and medicines are also being provided. Women employees and self-help groups are also helping in bringing the people of Special Backward Tribes to the camp and the team of district and block level nodal officers formed for regular monitoring of the camp is inspecting the camp and ensuring the presence of the concerned departments.
