Cabinet Meeting: CM’s cabinet took 8 big decisions

Cabinet Meeting: At the Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today at Mahanadi Bhavan, following important decisions were taken:

  • Cabinet has approved the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2025 for the presentation of the Third Supplementary Estimates for financial year 2024-25 in the Legislative Assembly.
  • Cabinet has also approved the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2025 for the presentation of Budget Estimates for the financial year 2025-26 in the Legislative Assembly.
  • To ensure availability of new and high-quality seeds for the farmers, Cabinet has decided to expand the list of institutions exempted under Rule 4 of Chhattisgarh State Procurement Rules-2002. As per this decision, the Seed Corporation will first procure seeds from registered seed-producing farmers in the state. If additional seeds are required, procurement will be done from state seed-producing cooperative societies, seed production enterprises of the Central and State Governments, NAFED, the Madhya Pradesh Seed Federation, and institutions empanelled as Central Nodal Seed Agencies under various schemes of the Government of India. The selection will be based on the lowest price offered as per the Seed Corporation’s offer letter.
  • Chhattisgarh Democracy Fighters’ Honor Bill-2025 was approved at the Cabinet meeting today.
  • Cabinet approved the Governor’s Speech for the Fifth Session of the Sixth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, scheduled for February-March 2025.
  • Cabinet has granted approval for an additional government guarantee of Rs 3,300 crore to the Chhattisgarh State Marketing Federation for the payment of the remaining dues to farmers for paddy procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the Kharif Marketing Year 2024-25.
  • Cabinet has approved Chhattisgarh (Amendment) Bill-2025 under the Indian Stamp Act-1899 to determine the stamp duty rates for the bank guarantee-related deeds.
  • Cabinet approved the creation of necessary posts for granting in situ pay scale parity to Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers of the Chhattisgarh cadre batches 1992 to 1994, currently posted as Additional Principal Chief Conservators of Forests, who have completed 30 years of qualifying service, by upgrading them to the equivalent scale of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) on a non-functional basis.
