Businessman’s auto stolen, police examining CCTV footage

Durg. An auto was stolen in broad daylight from Utai Bazar area of Durg district. The auto driver had parked the loading auto nearby. Meanwhile someone crossed his auto. Utai police station reached the information and registered a crime against the unknown accused.

The incident happened on Friday evening. Prem Kumar Dhimar, resident of Adarsh Nagar Utai, is a retail businessman. He had reached Utai Bazar Chowk with the goods in his loading auto (number CG 08 N 6590). He had parked his auto at the square and had gone to set up shop in some market.

When he came back late in the evening, the auto was not there. After exploring the surroundings, he informed the police. On which the team of ACCU and Utai police reached the spot and took stock of the incident. During interrogation of the people, it was found that a young man had taken that auto. The police is busy searching for him. CCTV footage is being scrutinized. Utai is a rural area, hence due to less number of cameras, there is difficulty in finding CCTV footage.
