Now the company plans to equip its Jupiter scooter with this drive option. The plan to produce a 125cc Jupiter scooter powered by compressed natural gas is said to be codenamed U740. Work on this has also started. If all goes well, the company can launch it next year in 2025.
According to the information, the company has set a modest target of selling about 1,000 units of its CNG scooter every month. They are also planning to introduce another electric car, an ICE car and an E3W car this year. We are working in this direction. Let us tell you that TVS Motor is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country with 18 percent market share and sales of 3.15 million units. At the same time, it is India’s second largest scooter manufacturer. This means that about 1 million motorcycles are sold annually and Bajaj Freedom 125 has a 2 kg CNG tank and 2 liters of petrol. The company claims that the mileage for CNG will be 102 km per kg and 65 km per liter for petrol. The firepower of one of these two tanks is about 330 km. The price of this bike ranges from Rs 95,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of the recently launched Jupiter 125 ranges from Rs 79,299 to Rs 90,480. Keeping this in mind, it is being said that the price of TVS Jupiter CNG can be around this range.
