Bus conductor thrashed for denying ST to female student

KOTTAYAM: A conductor of a private bus running on Malikakadavu-Kottayam route was thrashed by a team led by a female student. The conductor of the bus identified as Pradeep was thrashed brutally. The incident happened last Thursday evening. The visuals of attacking Pradeep had surfaced.
The conductor was attacked following a dispute that broke out for not giving Student Ticket (ST) to the student who boarded the bus. The conductor said that she boarded the bus and demanded ST Ticket and he said that he did not give her as she was not in her uniform, did not have the ID card, concession card, bag etc. She questioned him for not giving the ST and later came with her friends and relatives and attacked the conductor on his return journey.‘She gave Rs 2 for the ST. When he asked for the ID Card, she said that she did not get it. She was not in her uniform. Will not permit this from tomorrow. She later got out of the bus,’ he said.
