Bus caught fire in Jogulamba Gadwal, woman burnt to death

Hyderabad: A woman died and four other passengers died when a private bus caught fire in Jogulamba Gadwal district early Saturday. The incident occurred around 2.30 am near Erravalli crossing on the Hyderabad-Bangalore National Highway. A Volvo bus of a private travel company going from Hyderabad to Chittoor overturned and caught fire. There are 40 to 50 passengers in the bus. While almost all the passengers were jumping and breaking crystals, a woman fell into the llamas and was carbonized. Four passengers also died in this accident. Three of them were admitted to a hospital in Gadwal, while the fourth was shifted to Hyderabad. On receiving information, a vehicle of the attackers reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The bus was completely destroyed. Police suspect that the driver may have fallen asleep while driving, due to which the accident occurred. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
