Buldhana: Reunion of mother leopard and lost cub
Maharashtra: A ‘cub’ struggling to save its mother accidentally fell into a well. Its mother wandered around the area all day. She finally calmed down when they were found after several hours. This is the story of the affection of a mother leopard, which is sometimes considered ferocious and aggressive. A four-month-old leopard cub had fallen into a well. The rescue team of the Buldhana Forest Department went and took the cub out of the well safely. On the advice of senior officials, the forest department succeeded in reuniting the cub with its mother on Saturday night.
The incident took place on the morning of January 4 at Nirod Shivara in Khamgaon taluka. The forest department received information that a leopard cub had fallen into a twenty-five feet deep well in Mahadev Ravankar’s field. After the forest department received this information, a ‘rescue team’ was called from Buldhana. The team, with the help of a cage, safely took out the four-month-old female leopard that had fallen into the well. After taking it to Khamgaon, Livestock Development Officer Khamgaon and Dr. Mayur Pawse Gorewada Zoological Park Nagpur examined the leopard cub. They said that the cub is healthy. After this, Buldhana Deputy Forest Conservator Mrs. Saroja Gawas, Assistant Forest Conservator Mrs. Ashwini Apet and Forest Range Officer Khamgaon discussed. After this, the female leopard and her cub were reunited last night. They were released in the forest together. This process was carried out by Sandeep Madavi, Amol Chavan, Akshay Borse, Lata Abulkar and Ravindra More.
Meanwhile, the rescue team of Buldhana Forest Department has caught two mischievous monkeys creating a ruckus in Motala city. These monkeys were creating a ruckus in Motala for the last few days. Due to this, the tin sheets of some villagers got twisted, the material got damaged. At some places, these monkeys also tried to attack the citizens. These monkeys disturbed the citizens. Therefore, this was reported to the Motala Forest Department. A forest department team was called from Buldhana. The rescue team found two mischievous monkeys from this group of monkeys and tranquillized them. Both the monkeys were caught and left safely in the Gyan Ganga Sanctuary. Motala Forest Officer Anand Sapkal, team members Sandeep Madavi, Amol Chavan, Akshay Borse, Vaibhav Pund and Santosh Jadhav took this action. This brought relief to the citizens of Motala city.
