Building under construction collapses in Indore, two workers injured
Indore: A building under construction collapsed on Ushanagar main road in Indore. Three laborers working on the ground floor are trapped under the debris. Fire brigade and police reached the spot to rescue them. The slabs of two roofs of the building were filled. Who bowed down due to the fall. One laborer suffered minor injuries, while two laborers were injured.
Not much debris fell on the workers trapped in the basement, but due to the net of rods, they were not able to get out quickly. The iron net from the JCB was removed to one side, so that the workers could come out. The workers suffered injuries on their shoulders, hands and heads due to falling debris. A worker’s hand is fractured. After some time, the policemen took out the workers from the collapsed building. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Pilar could not bear the reason
The haste in filling the roofs of the building led to the collapse of the building. The ground floor was constructed on a small plot and instead of constructing walls, the open ceiling was being filled. Due to this, the pillars could not bear the brunt and the roof of the second floor collapsed on Monday afternoon. People nearby say that the slabs of the roofs of two floors were filled within eight days, whereas it takes 21 days to open one roof.
There are other houses around the under-construction building, but they did not suffer any damage. Municipal Corporation officials also reached the spot and are checking whether the building was being constructed as per the plan or not. At present the condition of the injured workers is said to be out of danger. In this case the police can register a case against the contractor.
