BRS walkout from the assembly.. Opposition members tore up budget copies

Hyderabad: The opposition BRS party has slammed the budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in the Telangana Assembly today, calling it a complete fraud. Opposition BRS members tore up copies of the budget in protest. They later walked out of the House. This led to a tense atmosphere in the Assembly.
The main opposition BRS MLAs walked out of the assembly in protest against the 2026-27 annual budget presented by the Congress government. As soon as Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka began his budget speech, the BRS members expressed their protest in an innovative way. Alleging that the government was cheating the people by putting ‘flowers in their ears’, the BRS MLAs walked out of the assembly with flowers in their ears.
As soon as the budget speech began, BRS members raised slogans accusing the government of ignoring the promises made in the last elections. They were particularly unhappy with the implementation of the ‘six guarantees’. Later, the BRS MLAs who came out of the House reached the entrance of the Legislative Assembly and staged a dharna. On this occasion, they severely criticized the government.
They criticized the government for cheating poor women by shouting slogans like ‘Tulam gold fraud fraud’. They criticized the government for failing to keep the promise made to the youth by shouting slogans like ‘Two lakh jobs fraud fraud’. They also criticized the government for failing to fulfill the promise made to the youth by shouting slogans like ‘Budget fraud fraud’ and said that no justice has been done to the poor, farmers and women in this budget.
