Brick dispute took a violent turn, trader left bleeding

Khairagarh. A dispute over the transaction of bricks in village Amaghat Kada took a violent turn on Sunday afternoon. In this case, the police have registered an FIR under Chhuikhadan police station area. The complainant Ramavatar Chakradhari (42 years), who is originally a resident of village Jevara Sirsa and has been running a brick kiln in Amaghat Kada for the last 10 years. He told that 3 years ago Rajkumar Patel had paid him 10,000 in advance for the bricks.

When Ramavatar asked Rajkumar to come himself and take the bricks due to not lifting the bricks, Rajkumar got angry and argued and left. But the matter escalated when at around 1.30 pm Rajkumar Patel came with a tractor and started loading bricks. When he found the bricks to be less, there was a dispute again. After this, Rajkumar’s nephew Tikam Patel reached the spot and abused Ramavatar and threatened to kill him. Tikam attacked him with his fists and bangles on his hand, causing a serious injury near Ramavatar’s left ear and bleeding.

Eyewitnesses to the incident include Ramavatar’s wife Kiran Chakradhari, villagers Mohanu Sori, Setram and Nehru. All of them saw and heard the incident. The people present also suffered a mental trauma due to the abusive language used by the accused Tikam Patel. A case has been registered against the accused at Chhuikhadan police station under sections 115(2), 296, and 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) 2023. The police is investigating the case.
