Bribe taking in Raipur Corporation’s zone office, people who don’t want to pay are making rounds

Raipur. Bribes are being taken from people living below the poverty line in the name of giving new ration cards. An officer was seen taking bribe in Raipur Municipal Corporation Zone 2 office. BPL people were asked to distribute the cards for free but recovery is being made for distribution.

There is a provision to take Rs 10 only from APL ration card holders. But Assistant Revenue Inspector Madhav Avadhiya is taking bribe of Rs 50 to 100 from people in the name of giving ration cards. People say that this entire work is being done in collusion.

After the new ration cards are made, the Food Department has made the ration cards of the beneficiaries and sent them to the zone offices of the corporation. The government has to distribute new BPL ration cards for free but the beneficiaries who refuse to pay the money are being made to visit the zone office repeatedly by saying that these days.
