Bookie arrested for betting on win and loss
Bhakhara. Two bookies who used to place bets on win and loss have been caught. Police said that Jagjeevan alias Jaggu Sahu was caught on the spot near Sheetla Mandir village Koliyari while gambling people by writing gambling numbers called ‘Satta Patti’ and betting on winning or losing money. From whom Rs.460/- in cash, 01 piece of Satta Patti worth thousands of rupees, 01 piece of dot pen blue were seized.
The same Dinesh Sahu’s father Khorbahara Sahu was caught in Bhakhara village near Bhagwati Hotel while roaming around in his vehicle by writing gambling numbers called ‘Satta Patti’ to the people in Bhakhara village. Total Rs 1250/- written in satta patti numerals in a white paper from the accused, 1 piece blue dot pen cash amount 430/- gray color scooty CG 05 AM 2316 worth ₹ 15000/- jumla worth ₹ 15430/- seized from the accused to be done. Lawful action has been taken against both the bookies under Crime No. 112,113/23 Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 Section 06 (a) Gambling Act of Thana Bhakhara. Station in-charge Bhakhara sub-inspector Lakshminarayan Saav, Souni.Tulsi Ram Mithilesh, Hemant Dhruv, P.R.Sitaram Narang, R.Damon Sahu, Ajay Giri had a special contribution in the above proceedings.
