Bombs will explode again in Palakkad; by-election results will not be an assessment of the government’
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary M V Govindan demanded a strong investigation in the Palakkad midnight search. While talking to a private news channel, he said more bombs will explode in Palakkad and the party has received reports on it. ‘The LDF will attain a historic victory in Palakkad. Don’t think that one can garner votes in the name of P P Divya. The CPM has strongly intervened in the issue. It cannot be said that the by-poll results will be the government’s assessment,’ he added.
Govindan came forward yesterday correcting party state committee member N N Krishnadas in connection with the search. He openly said the party’s stand is what he said, including the trolley bag issue, and that it will be discussed in the election, and no other stand is the party’s opinion. The issue of bringing the hawala money will not be abandoned. It is a political issue that Kerala is discussing. This will be a setback for the UDF. There is no lapse from the side of the LDF. Govindan also said that the UDF and BJP are flowing money in a big way in family meetings.Krishna Das had the other day said that discussions on the trolley issue in Palakkad should be stopped. Politics and people’s life issues should be discussed in the elections. Krishnadas had said that discussions on trolley bag issue will badly harm the LDF. Following this, the news came out that there were differences of opinion in the Palakkad CPM over the midnight search.
