Kakatpur: A bomb has been hurled in Kakatpur block of Puri district in Odisha. The bomb was hurled due to previous enmity, said reports on Tuesday.

According to reports, a youth has luckily managed to escape unhurt. A bomb was hurled in Cuttana village under Kakatpur police station jurisdiction. The bomb was hurled at a youth identified as Sheikh Saddam Hussain.

A few days ago, Saddam had a fight with a person named Sheikh Yunus of the same village. Yunus allegedly threw two crude bombs at Saddam. However, the two bombs did not hit Saddam and fell on his bike. Some parts of the bomb also hit Saddam’s leg. Saddam received minor injuries as a result.

After the incident, Yunus was arrested by Kakatpur police station. An atmosphere of fear has prevailed in the village after the bombing. Saddam has also filed a complaint at Kakatpur police station regarding the incident.
