Bodies of two girls in school uniform found hanging from a tree, heartbreaking case

Malkangiri: Bodies of two girls in school uniform were found hanging from a tree in a forest in Malkangiri district of Odisha. This incident created a stir. At the same time, the police, who reached the spot after getting the information, have started investigating the matter. At the same time, the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
An official told an agency that the girls who were missing for two days have been identified as Jyoti Haldar (13), daughter of Tinar Haldar of MV 74 village and Mandira Sodi (13), daughter of Baga Sodi of MV 126 village. Both were studying in class VII in a local school.
Family members had lodged a complaint that they did not return home from school on Thursday. The family searched for both the minors, but they were not found. Therefore, Mandira Sodi’s mother Mamta Sodi lodged a complaint at the MV 79 police station on Friday.
The officer said that the local people found both the bodies hanging from a tree in the forest. After receiving the information, policemen from MV 79 police station and Motu police station reached the spot along with Malkangiri SDPO Sachin Patel and started investigating the incident. At present the whole matter is being investigated. Further action will be taken after the investigation.
