BMW 5 Series LWB launched in India with a price tag of Rs 72.90 lakh, Check the specs here

German automobile manufacturer BMW has launched the BMW 5 Series LWD in India. The luxury sedan is meant to offer more comfort features to the chauffeur. It directly rivals the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class which is offered in LWB type too. The BMW 5 Series LWB gets a starting price of Rs 72.90 lakh and is approximately Rs 3 lakh lower than E-Class.

The company offers the sedan in a sole 530Li variant and a starting price of Rs 72.90 lakh. Speaking about the pricing, the 5 Series’ price just overlaps with 6 Series GT. The 6 Series GT is now priced between Rs 73.50 lakh and Rs 78.90 lakh.

Speaking about the powertrain, the BMW 5 Series LWB is offered with 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that offers 258hp of power and 400Nm of torque. The engine also gets a 48V mild-hybrid assist. When it comes to the gearbox of the vehicle, the sedan gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox and is a rear wheel drive. In terms of acceleration, the 530Li can go from 0-100kph in a matter of 6.5 seconds. The maximum speed limit is 250kmph.

In terms of design, the BMW 5 Series LWB gets a standard 5 series look. The wheelbase is 3105mm while the rear door is bit different. On the front we get a regular-sized BMW ‘kidney’ grille that glows and has long flowing lines. The sedan is offered with 18-inch wheels as a standard. However, users can opt for optional 19-inch wheels. Users also get M Sport body kit as a standard accessory on the India spec 530Li.

On the interior, the BMW 5 Series LWB gets 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster with 14.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment. Important features that are present on the interior include four-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, matrix LED headlamps, 655W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, multiple USB-C ports, and much more. The company offers a fully vegan interior option for the sedan. There is also a touchscreen on the fold-down armrest. Users can control features like climate controls, wireless smartphone charging, a huge moon roof, and much more in the sedan.
