Blast in university, 1 dead out of 3 injured

Manipur. There has been news of an explosion inside a university campus in Imphal. One person died and two others were injured in this explosion. According to sources, the blast occurred on Friday at around 9.25 pm. Giving information about this explosion, police said that information about the explosion was received inside DM College located at Thangamiband, west of Imphal. The team that reached the spot came to know that the explosion took place at around 9.30 pm in the eastern part of the All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) office located inside the Dhanmanjuri University campus.
Imphal West police team led by Superintendent of Police Shivkant reached the spot to take stock of the situation. One person has died in this blast, while two ASSU members have been injured. The injured have been admitted to the nearby Raj Medicity Hospital for treatment, where the condition of one injured person is said to be critical. Also, the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem.
At present, police force has been deployed at the spot and the police team has collected evidence from the spot and started investigating the case. This blast is also being linked to the ongoing caste conflict in Manipur. However, no party has yet taken responsibility for the blast.
