BJP’s chakka jam for CU in Dharamshala

Hospice. BJP, under the leadership of Kangra-Chamba in-charge Vipin Parmar, blocked the road in Dharamshala on Saturday against the state government not depositing Rs 30 crore for the campus of Central University in Jadragal, Dharamshala.

This demonstration was held at Kachari bus stand. Earlier, BJP workers gathered at the police ground and took out a rally from there till Kachari Chowk and raised slogans against the state government. After this the workers sat on the road at Kachari Chowk and blocked the road. BJP workers also sent a memorandum to the Governor through the district administration.

While addressing the public present during this time, Parliamentary in-charge of Kangra-Chamba Lok Sabha and MLA Vipin Parmar said that the state government is discriminating against Kangra. Kangra was ignored in the first cabinet and now Rs 30 crores of CU are not being deposited. Addressing the public, MP Kishan told how he got this entire issue resolved from the Environment Ministry.

Kapoor showed a harsh tone and said that this issue was kept pending for the last four years. On the other hand, BJP State General Secretary Trilok Kapoor said that the protest is just a trailer, if the state government does not deposit Rs 30 crore soon, then a huge demonstration will be organized in the coming days, the entire responsibility of which will be on the state government. The state government has handed over a big issue to the opposition in Kangra parliamentary constituency.

When some people started raising slogans during MP Kishan Kapoor’s address, Kapoor got angry and said, what a conspiracy some people are raising slogans. He said that some people are doing politics for their own selfish interest. If the people of Kangra keep fighting like this then the governments will work in their own way. BJP leader Vipin Parmar, in his address, also called upon the Congress MLAs of Kangra to support the CU fight. Not only this, he took the name of Sudhir Sharma and said that instead of giving a statement, he should register his protest on this issue.
