BJP demands white paper on Biju Health Welfare Scheme
Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Friday attacked the BJD and the state government for making false claims on the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) and demanded a white paper detailing the number of patients who have benefited from it after getting treatment in private hospitals. .
Referring to BJD’s claim that 36,000 patients have been treated in private hospitals on BSKY cards and the government has spent Rs 3,000 crore on them, BJP spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra said this means that every three families in the state There is a member of a family in. Treatment has been done in a private hospital. He alleged, this is false propaganda.
Mohapatra also criticized 5T president and BJD leader VK Pandian for seeking people’s opinion on BJD’s election manifesto. The BJP leader said the regional party had announced a manifesto with former Union minister Chandra Shekhar Sahu as its president. But now he will not be seen anywhere, he said, questioning the need for the 5T president to seek people’s opinion on the manifesto. Mohapatra said the 5T president had visited all the 147 assembly constituencies of the state to know about their problems and asked why he was seeking people’s opinion again.
Mohapatra alleged that the government had failed to solve the problem of migration during the 24 years of BJD rule. Accusing the BJD regime in the state of killing democracy, he demanded a promise in the party’s manifesto that it will allow student union elections in colleges. He said, leaders will emerge from the grassroots level and dependence on political families will become a thing of the past.
