Birsa Munda’s life is an inspiration for every Indian: Vishnudev Sai

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai participated in a workshop on Tribal Pride Day and the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, held at the BJP State Office, Kushabhau Thakre Complex, in Raipur on Thursday. Paying tribute to Lord Birsa Munda, the Chief Minister said his life symbolized struggle, sacrifice, and patriotism. He said, “Lord Birsa Munda not only united the tribal community but also played a crucial role in India’s independence movement against British rule.” The workshop was organized by the BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha. National President of the Scheduled Tribe Morcha, Sameer Oraon, National Organizer V. Satish, State President Kiran Singh Dev, State Organization General Secretary Pawan Sai, along with a large number of state and district officials were present. Representatives of the tribal community from across the state also participated in the program.

In his address, Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the first time in the country, the contributions of Lord Birsa Munda have been honored at the national level. He said, “Prime Minister Modi has made the tribal community across the country proud by deciding to celebrate the birthday of Lord Birsa Munda as Tribal Pride Day.” He also stated that the Chhattisgarh government is working on concrete plans for the development of the state’s tribal community—education, health, employment, and the conservation of traditional resources are being given top priority. National Organizer V. Satish said that the BJP’s core philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” will be fulfilled only when every section of society has equal opportunities. He said that the life of Lord Birsa Munda teaches us that the struggle for our rights and culture is never in vain.

BJP State President Kiran Singh Deo said that tribal community is the foundation of the BJP and the party has always been dedicated to the upliftment of the tribal community. He informed that in the coming days, Tribal Pride Yatras and cultural programs will be organized across the state, spreading the ideas of Lord Birsa Munda to the masses. On this occasion, National President of the Scheduled Tribes Front, Samir Oraon, said that the BJP has always respected the tribal community. He added, “Today, a tribal woman—President Draupadi Murmu—holds the highest constitutional position in the country, which is an example of tribal empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.” The program concluded with a floral tribute to the statue of Lord Birsa Munda. Special sessions were held at the workshop to preserve tribal culture, tradition, and self-respect.
