Bike rider crushed by uncontrolled car, painful death

Fazilka. The motorcycle of two youths working as waiters at a wedding ceremony in Murakwala village of Jalalabad was hit by a speeding Swift car near village Mahmuzoiya. In this road accident, two persons riding a motorcycle were injured. Later the injured were admitted to the government hospital, where doctors declared one person dead. The second person’s leg was broken and his condition is also critical. The car driver absconded after the accident. In his statements given to the police, Tarsem Lal alias Bittu, resident of Motiwala Guruharsahay, said that he works as a labourer. On February 9, he along with his associates Gurpreet Kumar alias Gora, Bubbu and Mangat Ram, resident of village Motiwala, had gone to village Murakwala to work as waiters on Mangat Ram’s motorcycle street vendor.

After finishing the work, all of them were returning back to their village. At around 8 pm in the night, near village Mahmujoiya, a speeding Swift car hit a street vendor behind a motorcycle. Due to which the motorcycle vendor was completely damaged and his two companions were injured. Later both were brought to Jalalabad Government Hospital for treatment. Where the doctor declared Mangat Ram dead. Tarsem Lal told that he found the number plate of Swift car lying on the spot. The car driver had parked his car on the link road going from Mahmujoiya village to Moranwali village and ran away. Police have registered a case against the unknown car driver under sections 304A, 337, 338, 427, 279.
