Bijapur: Naxalites have carried out a big IED blast in Bijapur district. Two security force personnel have been martyred in this IED blast, while four jawans have been injured.

According to the information, on receiving information about the presence of Naxalites of Darbha Division, West Division Bastar Division and Military Company Number Two in the border area between Bijapur, Sukma and Dantewada, a joint team of STF, DRG, Cobra and CRPF went out on a special operation on Tuesday. After the search, on Wednesday night, when the security forces returned, the Naxalites carried out a bomb blast in the forests of Mandimarka in the Tarrem police station area of Bijapur district. Constable Bharat Lal Sahu and Constable Sater Singh Kange were martyred in the blast. SP Jitendra Kumar Yadav paid tribute to the martyred STF jawans.
