Bihar: Four girls died after drowning in a pond on Sunday morning. Police gave this information. According to the Inspector in-charge of Khandauli police station, a woman and eight girls started drowning in the pond at around 10:30 in the morning, hearing their screams, police, home guards and people gathered there. Two of the people who reached there immediately jumped into the pond and took out a woman and four children safely, but the condition of the remaining four girls was very critical, one of whom died there while the remaining three girls were immediately sent to S.N. Medical College, but the other three girls also died there. He told that this pond was constructed by Yamuna Expressway Authority for rain water harvesting. The age of the four girls who lost their lives in this accident is being told between 11 and 12 years. Four-five days ago, a family of people from the nomadic caste of Kanpur countryside had set up their camp on the vacant land near the pond. The girls belonged to this family.
