Biggest Birth Certificate Scam Uncovered in Maharashtra: Over 27,000 Births in a Village of 1,500

Mumbai: The population of the village is only 1,500. However, more than 27,000 births were registered there in three months. The authorities were shocked to know this. It has been found that the biggest birth certificate scam has taken place. It is being investigated. (Birth Certificate Scam) This incident took place in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. The population of Shendurusani gram panchayat in Arni tehsil is only 1,500. However, 27,397 births were registered in the village in just three months between September and November this year.

Meanwhile, the district health officials were shocked to know about this. They visited the village. A special drive was organized to verify the births registered in an unusual manner. This led to the biggest birth certificate scam being exposed. It was found that the birth and death registration system (Civil Registration System) was hacked by cyber criminals. The officials were shocked to find that the gram panchayat CRS login ID was mapped to Mumbai.

On the other hand, the Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer has also formed an inquiry committee under the leadership of the Deputy CEO of the Panchayat Department. The committee has confirmed that 27,397 births and seven deaths registered in the last three months were outside the limits of the Gram Panchayat. In this context, the District Health Officer has filed a complaint against this scam at the Yavatmal Nagar Police Station. A case has been registered under various sections of the IT Act and is being investigated.

Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya visited the village on Wednesday and said that 99 percent of the births registered there are from West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. He said that he had spoken to CM Devendra Fadnavis in this regard. He revealed that he had demanded that all these birth registrations be cancelled.
