Big relief to NCP leader Praful Patel, CBI took this decision
Mumbai: CBI has closed a corruption case against NCP leader Praful Patel. According to the information, CBI has filed closure report against him in the Air India-Indian Airlines merger case. Let us tell you that at the time of merger, Praful Patel was the Civil Aviation Minister at the Centre. Let us tell you that in July last year, Praful Patel had also joined NDA along with Ajit Pawar. According to the Indian Express report, he was interrogated by CBI and ED as he was a suspect in the alleged scam. In fact, in 2019, the ED had told the special court that the accused and middleman of this scam, Deepak Talwar, was close to Praful Patel. He had benefited Deepak during his tenure as Union Minister in 2008-09. Deepak had helped in distributing Air India’s routes to private airlines. On March 19, CBI filed a closure report in this case before the Special Judge (CBI) of Rouse Avenue Court. The court has given the date of April 15 to consider this report. Let us tell you that in July, Ajit Pawar had left Sharad Pawar along with Prafulla Patel, Chhagan Bhujbal and other senior 6 leaders. At present Ajit Pawar and his supporters are part of the Eknath government in Maharashtra.
