Big plan regarding Kanwar Yatra, police alert of 5 districts including Delhi-Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: Police forces from five districts across Delhi-NCR have formulated a joint action plan to ensure the Kanwar Yatra concludes peacefully and safely. This time, the police’s primary focus will be on the safety of the Kanwariyas (pilgrims), traffic management, and crowd control.
Police from the concerned districts, including Delhi and Ghaziabad, will monitor the pilgrimage routes in close coordination. Arrangements are being made to deploy additional police forces in sensitive areas, conduct surveillance via CCTV cameras, and carry out continuous patrolling. Officials have instructed all departments to maintain mutual coordination so that any emergency situation can be addressed immediately.
Special Focus on Traffic Management
Traffic is likely to be affected as a large number of devotees take to the roads during the Kanwar Yatra. In view of this, the police have prepared plans regarding route diversions, alternative routes, and parking arrangements. Additional traffic police personnel will be deployed on major routes.
The police aim to ensure that Kanwariyas face no inconvenience while also ensuring that the movement of the general public remains unaffected. To this end, control rooms and help desks will remain active.
Robust Security Arrangements
The police will also monitor social media to keep an eye on miscreants during the pilgrimage. Drones and modern surveillance technology may also be utilized. Officials have made it clear that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order.
