Big news has come regarding the appointment of the new DGP of CG Police
Raipur. With the new year, preparations for Chhattisgarh to get a new DGP (Director General of Police) have intensified. Taking a step in this direction, the state government had sent a panel of three names to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
However, according to the latest information, UPSC has returned this proposal to the government. The commission has also asked the reason for not including the name of senior IPS officer SRP Kalluri in the panel. However, this development has not been officially confirmed yet.
If sources are to be believed, the recent activism of IPS officer GP Singh in the Police Headquarters (PHQ) is seeing a change in the equations of DGP selection. The state government is now preparing a revised panel of three names afresh, which will be sent to Delhi soon. This time there is a possibility of major changes in the proposal and inclusion of some new names.
