Bicycle crushed by speeding vehicle, wife dead and husband injured

Janjgir-Champa. On the Champa-Korba main road of the district, a speeding unknown vehicle hit a husband and wife riding a bicycle hard from behind. The woman died on the spot in the accident, while the husband was admitted to the hospital for treatment due to injuries on his head and other parts. The woman’s body has been handed over to her family after postmortem. The incident took place in Champa police station area.

According to the information, Sudharam Yadav (55) is a resident of Lavsara district Sakti along with his wife Gauri Bai Yadav (50). Worked in an Amul milk agency located in Champa. Sudharam had gone with his wife to a house on Korba Road on a bicycle at around 5.30 in the morning to give puja flowers. From where they were going back towards their home.

Meanwhile, a speeding unknown vehicle hit the cyclist husband and wife from behind and hit them. Due to this, both of them fell away from each other on the road. While on the road, due to an injury on the head of woman Gauri Bai Yadav, the bone of her head came out, due to which the woman died on the spot.
