Bhupesh Baghel suddenly reached Deepak Baij’s meeting
Raipur: PCC Chief Deepak Baij was taking a meeting at Rajiv Bhawan today regarding Raipur South Assembly by-election and urban body elections. Meanwhile, Bhupesh Baghel arrived and put pressure to make his close a candidate for the by-election. After which the meeting started getting hectic. According to sources, Bhupesh Baghel wants the Congress party to openly support Bhupesh Baghel in the BPS School Bhilai case. But the party has decided not to get involved in all these matters as the movement or protest run by any person for personal interest is personal. This is the reason why there is tension between Bhupesh Baghel and Deepak Baij.
On the other hand, information is coming that senior Congress leader TS Singhdev will again do active politics in the state. Therefore, the high command has not given any state post in the AICC as per his wish. And he can be handed over the reins of the state Congress very soon. This is why the current state president and former CM Bhupesh Baghel are repeatedly meeting together.
On the other hand, Deepak Baij was holding a meeting with all the members after 1 pm today in view of the upcoming elections in the State Congress Committee as per the scheduled program. Then former CM Bhupesh Baghel came to Rajiv Bhawan regarding the Bhilai matter and kept discussing with Deepak Baij for hours.
It is worth noting that by-elections are to be held in Raipur South Assembly and the Municipal Corporation elections are near. That is why former CM Baghel wants that only his disciples should get the ticket. Both the disciples Sunny Agarwal and Aijaz Dhebar should contest. But the high command has given a free hand to Deepak Baij to take everyone’s opinion in whatever decision he takes. It is being told that State General Secretary Malkit Singh Gendu, Pramod Dubey, Girish Dubey, Amarjeet Chawla and many state committee officials were present in this meeting.
