Bhubaneswar’s Patrapada hit and run case: 2 accused arrested

Bhubaneswar: In the hit and run case that had taken place on the Rakhi Purnima day earlier this month in Patrapada under Khandagiri Police Station limits in Bhubaneswar, in which a mother and her daughter were killed, Commissionerate police arrested 2 accused persons today.

One of the accused persons has been identified as Soham Raj Tripathi, a manager at a private bank. The other accused person has been identified as Rohan Ranjan Rout, the son of a liquor trader from Patia area of Bhubaneswar.

The Commissionerate police arrested the two accused perons from Delhi and seized the Scorpio that had hit the mother daughter.

These two accused persons had fled to Manali after causing the accident. After returning while they were hiding in Delhi Commissionerate police nabbed them.

An investigation is underway to find out who else is involved in the commitment of this crime in which a minor girl and her mother were killed.

As per reports, on the Rakhi Purnima Day earlier this month, the Scorpio and Thar were racing among each other on the busy street. One of these vehicle rammed the mother and daughter on the road in Patrapada area of Bhubaneswar. Accordingly, the daughter died on the spot while the mother later died in the hospital. The minor son of the woman was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
