Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police issues traffic and public order for two days, plan your route accordingly

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic and public order in view of the two-day visit of President Droupadi Murmu to the state on March 24 and March 25.

Apart from issuing the traffic advisory, the Commissionerate Police also advised people to plan their route accordingly so that they do not face any inconveniences due to the traffic restrictions for the President’s visit.

“In view of the upcoming visit of the Hon’ble President of India to Odisha from 24th March 2025 to 25th March 2025, to attend various official programmes and in consideration of the security concerns of VIP/VVIPs, as well as to ensure the free flow of traffic for the convenience of the general public, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003 (Odisha Act 8 of 2007) and in pursuance of Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulations, 2008, the following restrictions are imposed on the plying of vehicles,” said the Commissionerate Police in a notification.

24.03.2025 (MONDAY): Airport Square -Hospital Square -AG Square – Left turn of Raj Bhavan Square from 5.25 PM to 6.5 PM.
25.03.2025 (TUESDAY): Raj Bhavan Square -A.G. Square -Right turn Hospital Square -Airport Square from 8.50 AM to 9.20 AM.
As per her schedule, the President will reach the Bhubaneswar airport on March 24 in a special flight of the Indian Air Force and then will go to Kantilo of Nayagarh district in a special helicopter. After landing at the Paltan Padia of Kantilo she will go to offer prayers at the famous Nilamadhab Temple. Later, she will visit Dhanchangada and Kaliapalli regions of the district to take part in different programs.

On the following day, i.e on March 25, the President will attend the convocation ceremony of Ravenshaw University as its Chief Guest.
