Bhopal: Growing awareness about fitness will produce more Olympians

Madhya Pradesh: Film and TV actor Payal Rohatgi has said that increasing awareness about fitness will lead to more Olympians in the long run. Rohatgi said, “The Union Sports Ministry is creating a lot of awareness about fitness and a healthy lifestyle through the Fit India Movement. This will ensure that we move towards greater development and the vision of a developed India is coming closer.”

If our population adopts this healthy lifestyle, we will have more athletes and Olympians in the long run. Payal further said, “The fact that our Prime Minister asks his team of ministers to take up cycling to promote the vision of fitness is something we can learn from and teach our children and future generations.”

Payal, wife of wrestler Sangram Singh, attended the 56th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle, organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) at MANIT in the city.

More than 1,200 people participated in the event, which was flagged off by Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang. Olympian judoka Garima Chaudhary was also present.
