Bhopal: 32-year-old patient dies, family vandalises Akshay Heart Hospital
Madhya Pradesh: Relatives of a deceased patient vandalized Akshay Heart Hospital on Saturday night and Sunday. A video of the incident has gone viral, allegedly showing no doctors in the ICU, while a paramedic is performing CPR.
In the footage, only a nurse is seen trying to revive the patient, who is lying on a bed, in the ward. The person recording the video can be heard blaming the hospital for the lack of doctors and other medical staff.
Following the patient’s death, his family allegedly vandalized hospital property, including glass, chairs, and signboards. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident. However, hospital management dismissed allegations of negligence as baseless. The body was sent for a postmortem.
According to Habibganj police, the deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Vishal Jogi, a resident of Barkhedi. He was admitted to Akshay Heart Hospital on Saturday evening. His condition worsened late at night. The family alleged that despite repeated requests, no senior doctor came to see the patient, leading to his death. Angered by the death, relatives allegedly created a ruckus and damaged hospital property.
